The Adventure Hub

Pure Outdoor is based at The Adventure Hub in Bamford, in the heart of the Peak District. Our courses make use of its classrooms, indoor bouldering wall, rigging facilities and kit stores, with an independent outdoor shop on site. Most of our courses start here with a brew and a briefing.

A proper base for every course

We've been based at The Adventure Hub since 2018. It gives our courses somewhere to meet, learn the theory, sort your kit, grab a hot drink and warm up afterwards, with the crags, caves and hills of the Peak District right on the doorstep.

Indoor bouldering wall

Our instructors use the Hub's indoor wall to coach movement and technique, warm up before heading to the crag, and keep climbing sessions going when the weather turns.

Four rooms with audio/visual equipment for navigation theory, first aid training, instructor courses and group briefings, from 6-seat rooms up to a 65m² studio for 20.

Rigging & kit stores

Rigging training facilities and full equipment stores make the Hub a base for instructor training, including Rock Climbing Instructor and Mountain Leader courses, and mean every course is fully kitted out.

What happens at the Hub

Our Training Centre

Situated in Bamford, in the Hope Valley, Pure Outdoor are based from The Adventure Hub Training Centre and Climbing Wall which provides a unique and perfectly situated place to start your Pure Outdoor journey.
