Course Information

YOUR MTB CHALLENGE HALF DAY

9:30-13:00 (times can be adjusted to suit your needs)

ARRIVE AT THE ADVENTURE HUB

Your instructor will welcome you to our base and outline the objectives for the session over a great Italian coffee or tea, ensuring everyone has a suitable bike and kit (bike and helmet hire is available). There'll be a brief introductory session looking at bike set-up, appropriate gear and brake use along with both road and off-road riding safety.

HEAD TO THE TRAILS

We will head out onto our local trails which will be chosen on the basis of weather conditions, along with the experience and ambitions of the group. We will either strike out from our centre or drive around 15 minutes to an alternative start point.

GUIDED RIDE

Once on the trails, the distance we cover is entirely based on the abilities of the group and we have lots of options to make sure that all the terrain covered is appropriate to the skill level of the group. It will leave you grinning from ear to ear.

BACK TO THE ADVENTURE HUB

At the end of the session we'll return to The Adventure Hub for refreshments after which you can start your next activity. Alternatively, you can depart straight to your next destination.

  • You will need a hardtail or full suspension mountain bike in good working order (we can organise for your group to hire these from 'The Bike Garage' next door to our base for £25 per bike inc. helmet)
  • Helmet
  • Clothing suited to the weather (waterproofs, warm tops, gloves, etc)
  • Comfortable footwear for riding in
  • A good supply of snacks and a drink
  • Sun cream, and sunglasses (you just never know!)

All abilities welcome, some general cycling experience necessary.
