Want to get to grips with what Peak District Mountain Biking is all about but not sure where to start? We'll introduce you to the best Mountain Biking the Peak District has to offer; whether you're a total newcomer to the sport or an experienced rider who wants pointing in the direction of the best trails. We've got you covered!
Our Peak District Mountain Bike experiences are perfect for those either completely new to mountain biking who want to see what it's all about or for more experienced mountain bikers, new to the Peak District, who want a knowledgeable local guide to take them on the best trails.
The Peak District has some of the best and most iconic 'natural' mountain biking in the country with a range of terrain from gentle flowy tracks to rugged and remote trails. With the help and guidance of our knowledgeable local instructors we'll get you riding the right trails in the right conditions ensuring you have a fantastic day out in the hills.
Bike hire is available, however this must be pre-booked with our neighbour, The Bike Garage. Upon booking, you will have the option to add bike hire to the order (£25 per half day to be paid directly to the Bike Garage). The add-on product shows up as £0, however this just enables the system to forward your details on to the bike shop to get you booked in. They will contact you shortly after booking to confirm.
We run this course on demand for groups of up to 8 people with dates to suit you. Pricing depends on number of participants and the aspirations of the group, contact us for a quote and further information.
YOUR GUIDED MTB ADVENTURE
9:30am-1:00pm
ARRIVE AT THE ADVENTURE HUB
Your instructor will welcome you to our base and outline the objectives for the session over a great Italian coffee or tea, ensuring everyone has a suitable bike and kit (hire is available at an additional fee). There'll be a brief introductory session looking at bike set-up, appropriate gear and brake use along with both road and off-road riding safety.
HEAD TO THE TRAILS
We will head out onto our local trails which will be chosen on the basis of weather conditions, along with the experience and ambitions of the group. We will either strike out from our centre or drive around 15 minutes to an alternative start point.
GUIDED RIDE
Once on the trails, the distance we cover is entirely based on the abilities of the group and we have lots of options to make sure that the trails we ride are appropriate to the skill level of the group and leave you grinning from ear to ear.
BACK TO THE ADVENTURE HUB
At the end of the session we'll return to The Adventure Hub for refreshments.
All abilities welcome, some general cycling experience necessary.
