Note 2015: We are now running this course on a on-demand basis and tweaking the content to the needs of each individual. If you are interested in a bespoke programme like this, please be in touch and we will be able to help.
Our unique in-house training scheme is designed to train a group of up to 6 candidates to become a Peak District Outdoor Instructor during the course of a year.
All being well, by the end of the scheme you would have attended courses aimed at training you to become a Hillwalking, Climbing and Caving Instructor along with a relevant Teaching Qualifcation and First Aid Certificate. This is not the only benefit as there is a huge amount of value added through the mentoring and shadowing side of the scheme along with advice on setting up a new business, outdoor industry advice and help with starting up as a freelance outdoor instructor. The emphasis is not only on giving you the experience to get qualified but also to make you a top instructor.
The scheme is designed as a part-time training scheme that can be achieved in a year alongside work or study. Much of the course will be over weekends with occasional weeks throughout the year. The calendar will be released mid January.
Please enquire if you are interested and we will ask you to tell us a bit of information about yourself and your goals. Enquire to: email@example.com.

It is supported by LSIS, the Sector Skills Council for learning and skills improvement. The Level 3 / Level 4 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) is aimed at those wanting to teach in the lifelong learning sector, or those already teaching within the sector who do not have the relevant qualifications. From September 2007, all new teachers must gain a Licence to Practice at the start of their career. They have up to 6 months to achieve this from the date that they commence working in the profession. The Level Level 3 / Level 4 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) will provide an introductory programme for new teachers and confer a threshold licence to teach.
