Summary:

With the Pure Outdoor Intermediate Navigation Course you can progress your map reading skills, perhaps you have been walking for a year or two or maybe you have never had any formal training and would like some.

If you have a bit of experience (self-taught) or are progressing from a beginner course, this is the next step. On this course you will explore some of the many attributes of the compass and become more at home with its uses. On completion of this award participants will be able to plan and follow walks in the countryside away from paths and tracks.

The Intermediate Navigation Course covers the syllabus and is assessed to the Silver NNAS National Navigation Award Scheme.

Our navigation courses are based from our dedicated training centre in the Peak District. With complimentary tea & coffee, parking and wifi. No hidden extras.

This video was taken during a Beginner Navigation Course, but it will give you an idea of the facilities we offer at the training centre and the layout of the day.
