Summary
Come join us on our 5* Tripadvisor rated Outdoor First Aid Courses based at our dedicated training centre in the heart of the Peak District. The Pure Outdoor instructor on this course is not only a first class teacher but also a moderator for the First Aid courses nationwide.
This course covers the essentials of managing immediate, potentially life threatening incidents in a systematic manner. Ideal for anyone who may be required to take charge at an incident. This 1-day (8-hour) course is suitable for some Outdoor Instructor awards.
Pure Outdoor provides courses that are suitable for all outdoor activities whether recreational or work related. These courses are delivered by an HSE approved ITC First Aid provider. The Outdoor First Aid course is to be found on the National Qualifications Framework accredited by ITC who are an Awarding Body approved by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority QCA

Delivery
Experienced professional trainer/assessors with an active professional interest in First Aid training, coming from a variety of working backgrounds understanding the specific needs of various outdoor environments. Our trainer/assessors are constantly updating their methods and materials keeping abreast of current best practice from around the world. Trainer/assessors typically have knowledge of the outdoor workplace workplace and follow Health and Safety approved code of practice guidelines. This course may be delivered by ITC Independent Providers or ITC Centres such as your local College.

Revalidation
This qualification 'license to practice' is revalidated by attending another Outdoor First Aid Emergency Action course in 3 years time.
Accommodation Information
This course is non-residential, so if you do not live locally, you may need to arrange your own accommodation.
We have tried to make some good links with local B&B's, Guesthouses and Campsites to give you comprehensive choice when booking accommodation to coincide with your Pure Outdoor course.
This section has been broken down into two sections. Those travelling up on Public Transport and staying in the Hathersage area (we recommend this as it has a direct rail link with Sheffield and Manchester and your course instructor can come pick you up on the morning of the course) and a section for those of you who will be driving up to the course who have a little more freedom.
The Pure Outdoor Training centre is about 4 miles from Hathersage and Bakewell and only a mile or so from the villages of Eyam and Calver.

The Peak District Training Centre
We are based at the Rock Mill Business park which is immediately on the A623 between Sheffield/Chesterfield and Manchester. The centre is within 15 minutes drive from Sheffield and Chesterfield and can be reached in 30 minutes from Manchester.?If you are coming from Sheffield/Chesterfield Direction, drive through the village of Stoney Middleton, when you exit the village the business park is on the left after a few hundred metres. The office is in Unit 3 and can be found in the tallest building at the business park.

Start and Finish Times
The Training Centre will be open from 9am for those wanting to come in, look around and help themselves to refreshments (tea, coffee etc.). The course will commence at 9:30am. The courses generally finish at approximately 4.30pm.
Local Accommodation (If required)

We pride ourselves on the accessibility of all courses. For those of you wishing to use public transport, Manchester and Sheffield stations connect to Hathersage in the Peak District, which is a short train ride away. Transport:
For those arriving by car, there is ample car parking at the training centre. Many courses run directly from the centre and some are a short drive away. Most of the time you can leave your vehicle at the centre for the day. For those arriving by train, we are more than happy to pick you up from your accommodation and drop you off at the end of the day. Please be in touch if this is necessary so we can book it in.
