Terms & Conditions
1. FEES
1.1. All courses are exempt of VAT.
1.2 All places must be reserved by us receiving a completed booking form (online or posted) and 50% deposit.
1.3 The balance of the fee is payable 6weeks prior to the commencement of the course. In the event that the balance is not paid we will have the discretion to treat the booking as cancelled by the client and re-sell the course place.
1.4 The whole course fee is required to reserve a place for any booking made within 6 weeks of the commencement of the course.
2 CANCELLATION BY CLIENT
2.1 All cancellations must be in writing
2.2 Guy Wilson (trading as Pure Outdoor) once notified by letter or email of the cancellation will use its best endeavours to re-sell the course place(s).
2.3 In the event that the course is resold prior to the commencement of the course, the client will receive a full refund less 20% of the course fee to cover administration costs.
2.4 Refunds will only be made after the start date of the course has commenced.
2.5 In the event that the course is not resold prior to the commencement of the course, the client will be charged the following cancellation fees:-
2.5.1 60% of the total paid where cancellation takes place up to 6 weeks prior to the commencement of the course;or
2.5.2 75% of the total course fee where cancellation takes place less that 4 weeks before the commencement of the course;or
2.5.3 90% of the total course fee where cancellation takes place within the final 2 weeks before the commencement of the course.
3 CANCELLATION BY Guy Wilson (trading as Pure Outdoor)
3.1 Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that advertised courses actually run, Guy Wilson (gwmountaineering.co.uk & navtraining.co.uk) will notify the client of cancellation as soon as practicable where it believes on reasonable grounds that cancellation is necessary due to dangerous and/or unsuitable conditions for the course activity.
3.2 Guy Wilson (trading as Pure Outdoor) shall notify the client of cancellation not less than five days prior to the commencement of the course where numbers as a result of client (s) cancellation failed to reach a workable minimum for the commencement of the course.
3.3 Cancellation by Guy Wilson (trading as Pure Outdoor) does not affect a client's right to a refund of travel costs that he/she may have incurred prior to the cancellation and since lost except in the circumstances set out in clauses 3.1 and 3.2
3.4 In the event of cancellation clients will be offered the choice of the following options:-
3.4.1 Full refund of the course fee paid;
3.4.2 Another course on different dates.
4. Health, fitness and equipment issues
4.1 Clients should be aware that courses will involve walking over rough, sometimes steep terrain, for a number of miles in varying weather conditions. Each client should satisfy him/herself that he/she is sufficiently fit, and in possession of the appropriate clothes and equipment.
5. Insurance
Guy Wilson is fully insured for Public Liability. It is recommended that all participants are covered by some form of travel and personal insurance; normally these policies cover cancellation, personal accident and personal liability.
6. All participants must be aged 18 or over unless otherwise arranged by discussion with Guy Wilson
